Maylene grew up in rural Maine, reading fantasy novels and exploring the woods, all while pretending she was a forest princess or brave adventurer. She searched for faerie rings, plucked wild blueberries, and caught tadpoles. She peeked under decaying logs for salamanders and tread lightly looking for lady slippers. 

After graduating from Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a BS in Computer Science, a knight, now her husband, whisked her away from her software engineering cubicle to rural Pennsylvania. As an owner of a campground that hosts LARP events, fantasy and medieval role-playing keep her imagination alight as she juggles the campground’s responsibilities and raising two boys, a golden retriever, and a tabby cat, while writing year-round.

Oh, and she loves video games. And reading.
